Versión 3.x
"Builds" de EpiData v3: (Se hace un nuevo "build" cuando se han solucionado pequeños errores ("bugs") or cuando se han arreglado pequeñas inconsistencias). "Builds" tiene la forma de (xxzzyy), donde "xx" es el día, "zz" el mes y "yy" el año.

  • (120106): Problema solucionado y modificaciones:
    • Se soluciona un problema en doble entrada de datos (solucionados también otros pequeños problemas en cálculos)
    • Se añade una nueva orden: DEFAULTVALUE (Ver archivos de ayuda)
    • Pendiente: Un salto extraño se produce cuando se pulsa la tecla menos y están definidos valores "missing".
  • (181205): Problema solucionado y modificaciones:
    • Se soluciona un problema en doble entrada (se saltaban algunos campos cuando se hacían cálculos)
    • Se soluciona un problema cuando el primer archivo en doble entrada no se encontraba.
    • Pendiente: Un salto extraño se produce cuando se pulsa la tecla menos y están definidos valores "missing".
  • (141105): Problema solucionado y modificaciones:
    • Nuevo parametro de inicio: /FINDvarname=text . Ejemplo:
      EpiData.exe mydata.rec /FINDid=45
      iniciaría el programa y buscaría el número 45 en el campo id. Si no se encuentra, se añade un nuevo registro al archivo con el valor 45 en el campo ID.
    • Si EpiDatastat.exe (EpiData Analysis) está en la misma carpeta que EpiData.exe (EpiData Entry), se muestra un enlace con la herramienta de análisis.
    • Se añade una marca de "Verificado, fin de registro": ^ (verificado) mediante doble entrada
    • Problemas resueltos:
      Problema al buscar registros que no respeta los filtros
      Problema en la función AutoSearch (afectaba si se grababa el mismo valor que en el último registro)
      La orden Save Record no guardará un registro vacío
      Error en la orden Type statusbar cuando la orden Autosearch y la orden type statusbar estaban en el mismo campo.
      La doble entrada no guardaba regsitros marcados para borrar.
  • (200205): Problema resuelto: La señal de "Marcado para borrar" no se mostraba en archivos de cierta longitud.
  • (270105): Liberada con archivos de ayuda actualizados el 11 de Febr. de 2005 (MISSINGVALUE)
  • (270105): Problema resuelto: Error cuando se empaquetaban archivos con registros marcados para borrar con campos encriptados.
  • (180105): publicada por primera vez,
    Novedades: Validación mediante grabación duplicada sobre el mismo archivo y comparación drecta
        Los usuarios pueden definir su propias funciones. Ver página de documentación
        Orden BACKUP mejorada en los archivos chk. Incluye zip y encriptado
    Mejoras: se añade la extensión .zky a los archivos zip o encriptados(la extensión .zip es rechazada por muchos correos electrónicos)
    Problema solucionado: Exportar a Epidata debía hacerse dos veces para conseguir un nuevo archivo.

    BACKUP: Verify that backup is only done when file has been changed
    Dates: Enter a number, eg. 22: current month and year is added automatically
    Clear all checks and compress file moved to tools menu.
    Width of values in comment legal checked against width of fields
    Help menu adapted to "e-mail news" replacing "registration"
    Extended internal check when writing to disks (3 successive trials with report to user if failing on last)

    Limit in size of NOT file (could not exceed 37k)

  1. Bugs corrected:
    Import of missing values and/or negative values corrected from Stata files
    Exports to SPSS error fixed (happended only with long text fields > 75)
    Bug in testing of missing data, e.g. "v1 = ." would test the same as "v1 = 0"

Changes from version 1.2 to version 1.3 Jan 2001

  1. Specification of color and shape of dataentry field. Lineheight of dataentry form
  2. Dataentry Notes - hit F8 during dataentry-date and time is added to a REC file specific file. You can then enter comments or questions. (Replaces former "Study Description" on Document)
  3. Extended implementation of CHECK commands:
    Font Colors in TYPE: "Type Comment RED" or "Type Statusbar "id=" GREEN
    Legal can refer to other fields (legal use xxx)
    Period (.) can be used in if ... then and let expressions
    Date constants of length 10, e.g. "22/09/1967" allowed (European date format)
    Before file, after file, before record, after record blocks
